The coal company owned by PT MNC Energy Investments Tbk, controls several concessions, namely PT Putra Muba Coal, PT Indonesia Batu Prima Energi, PT Arthaco Prima Energy, PT Sriwijaya Energi Persada, PT Titan Prawira Sriwijaya and PT Primaraya Energi. these concessions have a combined area of 51,982 Ha with 1.4 billion MT of potential coal resources and 294 million MT of mineable coal reserves, operating in Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra, Indonesia.
It has been in exploration since 2009 and in operation since 2021, the operating permit which was recently renewed on 05 January 2018 is valid for 10 years. Coal concession of 2,947 ha located in Tungkal Jaya Sub-district, Musi Banyuasin Regency, 120 km northwest of Palembang. Producing 2,907,700 MT of coal by 2024. Volume of 2,696,424 MT sold in 2024, mostly to fulfil domestic needs. Plans to produce 3,000,0000 MT of coal per year in the coming years. Domestic destinations include; Jakarta, Cilegon, Cirebon, Lampung, Semarang, Cilacap, Gresik and Medan. While the export destination countries are India, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Our open-pit mining is done by appointing two contractors. Coal is transported 12km via an all-weather haulage road from the mine site to the company’s wharf port which accommodates barges up to 330ft in the Sungai Lilin district,. The jetty has facilities such as; BLC, movable screen, weighbridge, stockyard, barge loading equipment and other supporting facilities. The 15,000 ha coal concession is located in Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, 120 km northwest of Palembang.
The Company has commenced coal production in 2024, targeting 494,704 MT of coal by year end, fulfilling international demand; India, China, Vietnam, and Thailand with 25% domestic market obligation (DMO).

Coal will be transported 5km via our haul road from the mine site to the company’s jetty which accommodates barges up to 300ft in the Sungai Lilin district.
