PT Putra Muba Coal Enhances Healthcare Quality in Ring I Area through SEHATI Program, Trains Posyandu Cadres in Mekar Jadi and Sri Gunung

In its ongoing efforts to strengthen primary healthcare services within local communities, PT Putra Muba Coal (PMC) a subsidiary of PT MNC Energy Investments Tbk (MNCEI) has launched a flagship initiative titled SEHATI (Sehat Anak Ibu Tercinta), which focuses on enhancing the quality of integrated health service posts (Posyandu), particularly in support of maternal and child health. This program reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable and impactful corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the field of public health, especially for communities within its operational area.

One of the key components of the SEHATI program is the training of Posyandu cadres, which took place on July 20, 2025, in Sungai Lilin District. The training was attended by 40 cadres from Posyandu Mekar Jadi and Posyandu Sri Gunung, both located within the company’s ring I area. Participants received essential knowledge and skills directly related to their roles in providing community-based health services.

The training session featured Yunisa Alfia, A.Md.G, a healthcare practitioner from Sungai Lilin Public Health Center (Puskesmas), who has extensive experience in guiding and managing Posyandu operations at the sub-district level. In her presentation, Yunisa emphasized the vital role of Posyandu cadres as extensions of healthcare facilities in reaching grassroots communities, particularly mothers and children who require close attention and assistance during the growth and development stages.

Throughout the training, participants were equipped with practical knowledge in managing Posyandu activities, from planning and coordination to implementation of routine services. The session also included structured guidance on recording and reporting child development data to ensure accuracy for future healthcare interventions. In addition, the cadres were trained in managing equipment and logistics efficiently and learned effective strategies to increase community participation in Posyandu programs.

Management of PT Putra Muba Coal expressed that the SEHATI program is not merely a training initiative but part of the company’s long-term vision to help build healthy, independent, and empowered communities. By enhancing the skills and knowledge of Posyandu cadres, the company aims to ensure that surrounding communities not only gain access to healthcare services but also benefit from quality support delivered by competent local human resources.

“Through the SEHATI program, we strive to strengthen the community health ecosystem at the village level. Posyandu cadres are the front line in sustaining maternal and child healthcare services. We are proud to contribute to empowering their roles through training that is practical and responsive to real-world challenges,” said Suryadi Wibowo a Head of Mining Engineering from PT PMC.

More than just a CSR initiative, SEHATI represents a concrete contribution by the company toward the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, it aligns with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, which promotes healthy lives and well-being for all ages through improved access to primary health services. Additionally, the program supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through strategic collaboration among the private sector, healthcare providers, and local communities to advance sustainable development at the grassroots level.

PT Putra Muba Coal believes that true community development is not solely built on economic growth, but also on social strength through improved health, education, and empowerment. The SEHATI program will continue to be developed in a sustainable manner as part of the company’s contribution to creating a healthier future for the next generation.
